Benefits of doing a Student Placement or Internship

PLACEMENTS

Industrial Placement or a Sandwich Placement is a ‘real’ work experience gained within a ‘real’ working environment, normally lasts between 10 – 12 months, that complements and supports the student’s degree qualification and provides mutual benefit to both the employer and the student.

INTERNSHIPS

Internships can be a great way for university students and graduates to get valuable work experience in the area they are interested in. Internships can be classed as a 1 week to 12 month experience in an organisation, which can be paid or unpaid depending on Industry/Sector.

Interns Placement Success Story..

My placement was an incredibly valuable experience, offering numerous opportunities to learn, grow, and expand my knowledge not only within my field but also across other departments. I had the chance to network with professionals, build meaningful connections, and even make some great friends along the way!

If you’re considering doing a placement, I strongly encourage you to go for it! And for those who have already secured one, remember that no question is ever a waste. I also recommend taking the time to network and build connections, as these relationships can be invaluable in the future.
