Graduate Project Manager Intern
(WasteWater)

Job Description
The Project Manager Intern will be responsible for supporting Assistant Project Managers (APM) and/or Project Managers (PM) with regards to the delivery of capital projects.

The Intern may also be required to attend sites across the programme / portfolio to assess progress, carry out health, safety and quality inspections to provide reports detailing their observations.

Responsibilities
To support in the day-to-day management of project activities, under the supervision of an APM and/or Project Manager (PM) and will assist in delivering specific tasks within a larger project or individual projects of an appropriate size.

Tasks will include but not be limited to:
* Assist the APM/PM in developing the monthly job status report and the preparation of cost analysis forecasts
* Preparation of change controls and use of CEMAR
* Assist the APM/PM to collate information for the project programme
* Creating purchase orders and assessing claims for payments
* Managing small projects and elements of larger schemes

Person Requirements
* Open to recent graduates
* Preferred Subjects: Engineering/Science subject (or equivalent experience)

Knowledge/understanding of:
* Project and contract management
* H&S standards and regulations
* Water or utility industry
* Water and Wastewater regulations

Personal traits:
* Construction Practices
* Management of various stakeholders
* Good communication (written & verbal)
* Good organisational skills
* Basic financial awareness

* Candidate should live or be willing to live in the Kent area
* Ideally candidates should have a driving licence and have their own transport to get the full experience from the role (Travelling expenses will be reimbursed to and from site)
